| History
A meeting was held on 09/08/96 in the Royal
British Legion Club, Whitburn, of interested magicians to explore the
possibility of setting up a magical society.
There were 7 people present and three apologies
for absence. This meeting decided to from a magical society and 09/08/96
is regarded as the date the West Lothian Magic Circle was founded.
The 9 founder members are: Greg Forbes,
John Hearn, Bill Lees, Peter McGreskin, Ian McIntosh, Richard McLeod,
Yasmin Mesic, Bill Nimmo and Tom Richardson.
Our first International Member, John Bowden
(Then President of the Irish International Brotherhood of Magicians) joined
the Circle on 10/10/96. Our current membership is 19.
We meet in the East Calder & District
Homing Society Social Club, Oakbank Road, East Calder, Livingston, West
Lothian, EH53 0BT on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, between
September to June, from 7:30 - 10 PM.
We became affiliated to SAMS in October
97.

WLMC Meetings
We meet in the East Calder
& District Homing Society Social Club, Oakbank Road, East
Calder, Livingston, West Lothian, EH53 0BT on the second and
fourth Thursday of each month, between September to June, from
7:30 - 10 PM.
Academy of Magic
The West Lothian Academy
of Magic is for boy's and girl's aged between 10 and 16 who
have a genuine interest in magic. We meet in the Ability Centre,
Carmondean Centre Road, Livingston EH54 8PT on the first and
third Tuesday, monthly between September and June, from 7:00
- 8:30 PM.
Meeting dates in October
are 6/10/09 & 20/10/09, November 3rd & 17th, December
1st and January 19th.
Coffee Magic
If you find yourself
in the Livingston Centre on Sunday 8th November, 2009 why
not pop into Waterstones coffee shop at 12:30 where you will
find those interested in magic having a chat. You don't have
to be a WLMC member to join in.
